Update #2

Good Afternoon NYC Travelers!

I am excited to write to you with Update #2 for our trip!  Please see and READ below all new details about this trip before taking action in the things requested.

1. Congratulations to the 20 travelers students that worked the concessions stand this past on August 23rd at the first football game! These students raised $130 EACH to go towards their upcoming Performance Tour to NYC!  For those that have signed up to work this week’s game against Huntsville, I can’t wait to see what profits you bring in!

2. T​hose that have been fundraising via the Sheet Sale, The Concessions Stands, and those who will continue with our Car Wash Sale this month, funds raised during these events will be sent over directly from Grissom Choir to Sechrist Travel.  A list of names, as well as amounts, will be sent to our Tour Director, Sean Berg, to allocate towards the individual NYC accounts for those that participated in the events.  Remember, any unpaid Grissom Choir fees take precedent in fundraising efforts.  Any remaining funds will then be sent to Sechrist Travel.

3. Yesterday, you should have gotten an email from Sechrist Travel concerning your ability to set up a “Contribution Page” for your traveler account.  This email details how you can create an individual page to fundraise and collect payments from your family and friends to help pay towards your trip balance via social media.  I encourage you to take a look at this and see if this is something you would benefit from!

4. Please ensure you have joined the Remind.  There are still a few individuals who have yet to do so:

5.  Please be reminded of the payment schedule:

• PAST DUE: Deposit due May 30, 2024 = $100 per person*
• PAST DUE: 2nd payment due July 30, 2024 = $300 per person*
• UPCOMING: 3rd payment due September 30, 2024 = $300 per person
• 4th payment due November 30, 2024 = $300 per person
• 5th payment due January 30, 2025 = $300 per person
• Sechrist Travel Balance due March 30, 2025 = $500
• Grissom Choir Balance due April 30, 2025 = $200

*non-refundable; transferable.
Payments made by credit card will incur a 5% surcharge

6.  We need to begin thinking of what two Broadway Shows we will see next May.  Travelers, please visit the link below which details the various shows on Broadway this year.  Once you you look it over, submit two show preferences using the form below.  We will use this as a basis for what shows we will ultimately vote on:
