This Week in Choir: Week 10

Good Afternoon Grissom Choir,

Congratulations to the 31 Grissom Choir students that were chosen to be in the cast of Grissom Musical Theatre’s production of “Frozen”! (to be announced at the end of the school day). I am thrilled to work with each of you as Music Director next spring!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful, deserving Fall Break.  Our Grissom Choir students have worked tremendously hard this first 9-Weeks, and I can’t wait for our continued preparation for the Winter Concert once we return!

Grissom Choir Glow Run
Our Registration & Sponsorship Form for our Grissom Choir Glow Run is now LIVE on our website at www.grissomchoir.com/glowrun.  This new fundraiser for this Fall will be held on the evening of Saturday, November 15th!  Proceeds from this run will benefit Grissom Choir as a whole and will go towards the various expenses that the department has throughout the year.  Grissom Choir GCPA Board Members, alongside the Leadership Team & Volunteers, will be organizing and manning the event, but we will need EVERY student and parent/guardian’s help in publicizing the event to the public in order to attract runners/registrants, as well as Corporate Sponsors.  Spread the word, encourage participation, and even considering RUNNING yourself!

Uniform Pinning
New students and returning students who ordered a new uniform, our Seamstress will be in class the week after Fall Break to pin uniforms in preparation for hemming.  It is imperative that students that are receiving new uniforms be in class in order to get uniforms prepared for our upcoming All-City & Winter Concerts.

Tidal Wave Auto Spa Fundraiser
After Fall Break, Grissom Choir will kick-off its 2nd fundraiser of the school year, a Tidal Wave Auto Spa Car-Wash Fundraiser.  Each ticket can be sold for $10 (valued for the $20 Car Wash), of which $5 will go towards the student’s individual My Music Office Account.  This is an easy and fast way to raise money for Grissom Choir related fees!  Pre-Sell Ticket Order Forms will be available starting Monday October 13th in the Grissom Choir room, and students will have 2 weeks to sell.  Order forms will need to be turned in to the Grissom Choir Money Box in order to receive tickets once the fundraiser ends.  Please visit www.grissomchoir.com/fundraisers for more information this week!

All-City Festival Payment
The 2025 All-City Choral Festival will be held in 3 weeks, on Monday October 27th & Tuesday, October 28th. An email was  sent out this past week with important documents concerning this event, and was handed out to students in class.  Please see the provided email & paperwork for all details (same information found at www.grissomchoir.com/allcity2025).  Please note that the $30 Festival Fee are due by Friday, October 24th!
