Good Morning Grissom Choir,

Happy New Year!  I hope that each of you had a great Winter Break, and a Happy Holidays this past December.  I am so proud of the work that each of our singers put into their continued choral music education in the fall semester.  That work is going to allow us to sing some challenging & rewarding repertoire this spring!  Please see below the MANY updates we have leading into this new semester:

Yearbook Photographs
Grissom Choir photographs for this year’s Yearbook will take place THIS Thursday, January 8th during Advisory.  THIS IS THE WEEK WE RETURN TO SCHOOL.  Students will need to bring their FULL uniform to school on this day, of which they can leave in the men’s & women’s dressing rooms.  ALL Grissom Choir students will report to the auditorium at the beginning of Advisory (other than Men’s Choir), of which each individual choir class will be instructed to change into their uniforms for their choir’s yearbook photo in shifts.

​Poppin Popcorn Fundraiser
This week, Grissom Choir will start our 3rd fundraiser of the school year, Poppin Popcorn, which will run for 14 days!  This is an EASY, FULLY ONLINE fundraiser for students to participate in to help raise funds for their My Music Office Account.  All orders are placed and paid for online then shipped directly to the customers home within 24 business hours!  Visit https://poppinpopcornonline.com/participant/register.php?g=SIZDGT to create your Grissom Choir Seller ID.  Once registered, you'll be able to log in and start selling by simply posting a link to your Facebook page or other social media accounts. Log in from your mobile device to send text messages to close family & friends. Or, you can also send your fundraiser link via email. Good luck and have fun selling!

T-Shirts & Sweatshirts
We still have many students that have yet to pick-up either their T-Shirt or Sweatshirt from the spring.  This said, I am now offering up any remaining sweatshirts & T-Shirts to those that may have forgotten to order across this past semester!

Solo & Ensemble
The deadline to register for this year’s Solo & Ensemble Festival is NEXT Friday, January 16th!  If there is any students or groups of student’s that would like to participate in this year’s Solo & Ensemble Festival, please visit https://www.grissomchoir.com/soloensemble.html to find out more!  You must speak with Mr. Ratcliff by the end of THIS week so that we can discuss eligibility, repertoire selections & registration details.
