Grissom Choir Parent Meeting
We would like to welcome everyone to the required Choral Parents Meeting at 6:00pm on THIS COMING MONDAY, August 12th in the Auditorium. At this meeting, we will discuss the handbook in full, & all information concerning being a Grissom Choir student & parent. This is a requirement for ALL students & parents to attend. New members will also get sized/fitted for their choir uniform this evening as well.

Grissom Choir Handbook & Acknowledgment Form
The Grissom Choir Handbook has been sent home with each student. Please ensure that all students & parents/guardians have read over this Handbook, and sign and return the Handbook Acknowledgement Form by our Parent Meeting on August 12th. This serves as a 50 point Formative Assessment in PowerSchools for all students.

Basic Support Fee & Fundraising
At our parent meeting, we will discuss our annual Basic Support Fee for all students, as well as kick-off our first fundraiser of the year to off-set this cost. Information about this fee can be found in the Handbook that will be sent home with all students. We ask that payment toward this fee be made, or a payment plan be instated at this meeting. Those that wish to fundraise may do so after speaking with our treasurer!

Remind
It is a requirement for all students to join the NEW Remind by August 12th using the information listed in the handbook, on our website, as well as the powerpoint on Schoology. Parents/Guardians, you may join your child's class using the information provided as well. To access the Remind Codes on the website, please visit www.grissomchoir.com/about, and scroll down and join the class that is listed on the student schedule.  This serves as a 50 point Formative Assessment in PowerSchools for all students.

All-City Registration Deadline
The deadline to register for this year’s All-City Choral Festival is TODAY Friday, August 9th! Please make sure that those that wish to audition have done so by following the provided link to our website! https://www.grissomchoir.com/allcity.  More information concerning what the All-City Choral Festival was discussed in class this week.

Sheet Sale Fundraiser
We will begin our Sheet Sale Fundraiser THIS COMING Monday, August 12th, and run for 2 full weeks!  This fundraiser is always a success for students who have participated in the past, and I encourage all students to participate in order to raise money for their Basic Support Fee and other Grissom Choir related fees, e.i. All-City, All-State Pizza & Pop, & Solo & Ensemble!  Information concerning this fundraiser can be found at www.grissomchoir.com/fundraisers, and will also be sent home with each student this coming week.  For those that participate, all order forms, monies, & swatches should be turned into the Grissom Choir Money Box by Tuesday, August 27th.
