Good Morning Grissom Choir,

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Spring Break, and is ready for the last 9 weeks of the school year!  A special congratulations to the 9 Grissom Choir students to participated in this year’s All-State Choral Festival last weekend in Birmingham.  You represented Grissom Choir excellently, and we all are so proud of your accomplishments!

University of Montevallo’s ChoralFest!
ChoralFest is TOMORROW!! This school year, the University of Montevallo will be hosting a 1 day SSAA & TTBB Honor Choir on this Tuesday, March 21st.  For those students in our own Women’s and Men’s choir at Grissom, we will be traveling down via bus on this day to participate in this great festival. The price of this field trip is $30 (students will also need to bring money for lunch and dinner).  More information was handed out to students this week for those in our Women’s & Men’s Choir, and was also be emailed our in a separate email.  I look forward to seeing Women’s & Men’s Choir bright and early Tuesday morning at 6:00am!

Costa Rica Concert Tour 6th Payment PAST DUE
Travelers, your 6th payment is PAST DUE.  For this payment, please pay this installment DIRECTLY to Perform International via their online portal that you registered through, or via check in the mail.  This payment should complete the payments that are due to Perform International.  Due to rooming situations, some of your online accounts may be higher or lower than the original proposed price of this trip.  After this payment, your online account balance should reflect that you have paid $2,930. (Even if your online account says that you own more due to rooming differences). In 2 months, you will make the final, 7th payment to Grissom Choir of $270, of which we will then pay any remaining amount left on each individuals account.  Please see below for the payment schedule.  Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me, or our Tour Operations Manager, Krista Montgomery, at [email protected]

Senior Scholarship Information
Each year, Grissom Choir provides it’s seniors the opportunity to apply for one of our four Grissom Choir Scholarships: The Annette Shingler Vocal Excellence Award, The Phillip Gross Memorial Award, The Elizabeth Stephenson Harmony Award, and The Clarance F. Gandy Outstanding Choral Student Award. For those seniors wishing to apply, all information concerning these awarded scholarships can be found at www.grissomchoir.com/applications!

Each year after our Spring Concert, we host an awards celebration featuring all Choral Events that occurred in the school year, and honoring any individual choral achievements. Chamber Choir Audition Information
Chamber Choir auditions will consist of students learning a prepared piece via PDF and practice tracks, an online application, submission of a Teacher Recommendation Form, as well as a Scales & Sight-Reading.
