Good Afternoon Grissom Choir,

Thank you to each student, parent, and guardian who attended our Parent Meeting this past Monday night.  We had a 78.3% attendance rate for Grissom Choir members, which is a great turn out!  I am so thrilled at the support that our students have as they continue their choral music education.

Grissom Choir Parent Meeting
For those that were not in attendance, please visit www.grissomchoir.com/parentmeeting to see the slideshow that was presented at our meeting.  It is imperative that you review this information so that you are aware of all events and fees that are required for a Grissom Choir student.

“State of the Choirs” Fall 2025 Report
As mentioned at our Parent Meeting, I have created an annual report of all things related to Grissom Choir, which is handed into administration every August.  This can found at www.grissomchoir.com/parentmeeting for those that are interested in viewing this as well!

Grissom Choir Handbook & Acknowledgment Form
The Grissom Choir Handbook was sent home with each student two weeks ago. Please ensure that all students & parents/guardians have read over this Handbook, and sign and submit the Digital Handbook Acknowledgement Form in order to continue to be a member of Grissom Choir.  We currently have 87.4% of the department signed.  To access this handbook form, please visit www.grissomchoir.com/handbook

Sheet Sale Fundraiser
We began our Sheet Sale Fundraiser at our Parent Meeting, and will run for 2 full weeks!  This fundraiser is always a success for students who have participated in the past, and I encourage all students to participate in order to raise money for their Basic Support Fee and other Grissom Choir related fees, e.i. All-City, All-State Pizza & Pop, & Solo & Ensemble!  Information concerning this fundraiser can be found at www.grissomchoir.com/fundraisers, and will also be sent home with each student this coming week.  For those that participate, all order forms, monies, & swatches should be turned into the Grissom Choir Money Box by Friday, August 29th.

All-City Music
All-City Music will be in this coming week!  For those auditing, please ensure that you have either paid for your Basic Support Fee, have set up a payment plan with our Treasurer, or have started fundraising in order to receive your music!

All-State Registration
Students, the deadline to register for this year’s All-State Choral Festival auditions is NEXT Friday, August 22nd!  All information concerning this audition, including the price and requirements, can be found at www.grissomchoir.com/allstate.  I highly encourage passionate students to audition, as we always have a the highest quality students to be selected for the festival!
