Sheet Sale Fundraiser
We kicked off our Sheet Sale Fundraiser two weeks ago! This fundraiser has consistently been a great success for students who have participated in the past, and I encourage all students to take advantage of this opportunity to raise money toward their Basic Support Fee and other Grissom Choir-related expenses, including All-City, All-State, Pizza & Pop, and Solo & Ensemble.  Additional information about the fundraiser can be found at www.grissomchoir.com/fundraisers, and was made available to all students. For those who choose to participate, all order forms & payments should be returned to the Grissom Choir Money Box no later than THIS COMING Wednesday, August 26th.

Fall Concert Performance
Our Fall Concert is quickly approaching! The concert will be held on NEXT Tuesday, September 1st at 7:00 p.m. Students should report at 5:30 p.m. dressed in their “Sunday Best” attire. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students, with doors opening at 6:45 p.m. for seating. Please remember that participation in our public concerts is required for all Grissom Choir members enrolled in this semester. We are looking forward to sharing the hard work of our students these first three weeks of school!

Fall Concert Final Rehearsal
There will be a required final rehearsal on NEXT Monday, August 31st directly after school for all Grissom Choir students enrolled in this semester. It is imperative that every student be present, as we will use this rehearsal to establish entrances and exits on and off the stage, review concert logistics, and complete a final run-through with our accompanist. Students who are not present at this rehearsal will not be permitted to perform in the Fall Concert. Please plan accordingly and make every effort to avoid scheduling conflicts. Students will be dismissed  by 5:30pm that evening. Please remember that participation in our final rehearsals is a requirement for all Grissom Choir members.

Grissom Choir Glow Run
The Grissom Choir is excited to announce that this year’s Grissom Choir Glow Run will be held on the evening of Saturday, September 19th! Proceeds from the event will benefit Grissom Choir as a whole, helping support the many expenses our department incurs throughout the school year. We are also excited to be partnering with Fleet Feet to assist with professional race-day timing and logistics, helping us provide an organized and enjoyable race experience for all participants. GCPA Board Members, alongside our Grissom Choir Leadership Team, will be organizing and staffing the event, but we will need EVERY student and parent/guardian’s help in spreading the word throughout our community and encouraging runners to register! Spread the word, encourage your friends and family to participate, and even consider running yourself! We are excited to make this a fun and successful event for Grissom Choir!

All-City Music
All-City music is IN! For those auditioning, please ensure that you have either paid your Basic Support Fee or have begun participating in our fundraiser in order to receive your music. Once you receive your music, please remember that it is your responsibility to learn the music on your own. The choir room is open during Advisory on Wednesdays and Fridays for you to come in and practice! You must have a pass from your teacher through GoGuardian in order to come and practice.

T-Shirts
T-Shirts are IN! Students (or parents/guardians) who ordered a shirt and have paid the Basic Support Fee or participated in fundraising may pick up their shirt before or after school, or during Advisory!
