Good Afternoon Grissom Choir,

Congratulations to the 21 Grissom Choir students that worked the concessions stand this past Friday at the football game! These students raised $130 EACH to go towards their upcoming Performance Tour to NYC!

Sheet Sale Fundraiser
After kicking off our Sheet Sale Fundraiser 2 weeks ago, it is now time to turn in order forms and monies raised!  This fundraiser is always a success for students who have participated in the past, and I encouraged all students to participate in order to raise money for their Basic Support Fee and other Grissom Choir related fees, e.i. All-City, All-State Pizza & Pop, & Solo & Ensemble!  Information concerning this fundraiser could be found at www.grissomchoir.com/fundraisers, and was made available to all students over the past 2 weeks.  For those that participated, all order forms, monies, & swatches should be turned into the Grissom Choir Money Box by Monday, August 26th or A-Day students, and Tuesday, August 27th for B-Day students.

Grissom Choir Super Chix Spirit Night
This Tuesday, August 27th, Grissom Choir will be hosting a Spirit Night at Super Chix (2319 Memorial Parkway) from 4-9pm!  Students will be given a flyer in class over the next two days, of which will be needed when ordering so that the proceeds benefit Grissom Choir. Come out and support!

Digital Permission-To-Travel Form
Grissom Choir will be traveling multiple times through the school year in its continuous efforts to provide the highest-calibre of choral music education to its students.  In order to mitigate paperwork, we are transitioning to a single, full-year, digital Permission-To-Travel Form, which will serve as permission-to-travel for all students and the trips that they will be traveling on.  Every student in Grissom Choir this year will be traveling.  Please visit www.grissomchoir.com/permissiontotravel to access this form, read the List of Trips, and digitally sign!

Fall Concert Solo Auditions
Auditions for our Fall Concert Solos will be held during advisory on Wednesday of this week.  Measure numbers have been posted on Schoology!

Fall Concert Performance
Our Fall Concert is quickly approaching! The concert will be held on the evening of Tuesday, September 10th at 7:00pm. Student call time is at 5:30pm in “Sunday Best” attire.  Admission to this concert is $5 for all adults, and free for students, with doors opening at 6:45 for seating.  Please remember that it is a requirement for all Grissom Choir members to participate in our public concerts.

Fall Concert Final Rehearsal
There will be a required final rehearsal on Monday, September 9th for all students directly after school. It is imperative that all students are present at this rehearsal in order to figure out how we will be getting on & off the stage, and to have a final run-through with our accompanist. Students that are not present at this rehearsal will not be allowed to perform at the Fall Concert.  All students will be dismissed by 5pm.  Please remember that it is a requirement for all Grissom Choir members to participate in our final rehearsals.
