It’s Fall Concert Week!  I am so excited to share with friends and family all that our Grissom Choir students have been preparing these past 6 weeks.

Fall Concert Performance
Our Fall Concert THIS COMING week!  The concert will be held on the evening of Tuesday, September 12th at 7:00pm. Student call time is at 5:30pm in “Sunday Best” attire.  Admission to this concert alone is free to the general public, & doors open at 6:45 for seating.  Please remember that it is a requirement for all Grissom Choir members to participate in our public concerts.

Fall Concert Final Rehearsal
There will be a required final rehearsal on Monday, September 11th for all students directly after school. It is imperative that all students are present at this rehearsal in order to figure out how we will be getting on & off the stage, and to have a final run-through with our accompanist. Students that are not present at this rehearsal will not be allowed to perform at the Fall Concert.  All students will be dismissed by 5pm.  Please remember that it is a requirement for all Grissom Choir members to participate in our final rehearsals.

T-Shirts Tuesday
For those of you that ordered this year’s Grissom Choir T-Shirt, please wear your shirts to school on Tuesday to promote our concert!

All-City Choral Festival Auditions
Auditions for this year’s All-City Choral Festival are in ONE week!  SSA Auditions will be held on Monday, September 18th at Huntsville Jr. High directly after school.  SATB Auditions will be held on Tuesday, September 19th at Lee HS directly after school.  Students, please ensure that you have a ride to and from the auditions, and are fully prepared with the following:

    1. All Music in its Folder (some has still yet to ship. Copies will be made available this week)
    2. Measures Numbered
    3. Parts learned via Practice Tracks (grissomchoir.com)

It is my expectation that all students that registered follow through with their commitment by practicing and auditioning.  We have upwards of 60 students auditioning this year, and I want every single one of these Grissom Choir members to be accepted.  Should there be any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
