Good Afternoon Grissom Choir,

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Fall Break, and is excited to continue working towards our Winter Concert that is only 7 rehearsal weeks away!  Congratulations to the 23 Grissom Choir students that were casted in this year’s Grissom Musical Theatre production of “Cinderella”!  I am so very proud of each of you, and excited to work with you on this fun show.  Please ensure you have joined the Remind using the instructions posted on the theatre bulletin board.

Mississippi State Choir Visit
Students, Mississippi State’s Choir will be with us tomorrow, Monday October 9th, during 1st block.  It is always a honor to have university choirs come and sing for us, and we are excited to host them.  I will be sending out an email to all GHS Teachers requesting that Grissom Choir students be excused during 1st block, IF they are in good-standing with that class/teacher (good grades, no missing assignments, etc.)

All-City Festival Permission Form & Payment
The 2023 All-City Choral Festival will be held NEXT week, on Monday October 16th & Tuesday, October 17th. An email was sent out before the break with important documents concerning this event, and was also handed out to students in class.  Please see the provided email & paperwork for all details.  The digital Permission Form and $30 Festival Fee are due by THIS Friday, October 13th!

Tidal Wave Auto Spa Fundraiser
This week, Grissom Choir will kick-off its 2nd fundraiser of the school year, a Tidal Wave Auto Spa Car-Wash Fundraiser.  Each ticket can be sold for $10 (valued for the $20 Car Wash), of which $5 will go towards the student’s individual My Music Office Account.  This is an easy and fast way to raise money for Grissom Choir related fees!  Tickets will be available for check-out starting Monday, October 9th in the Grissom Choir room, and students will have 2 weeks to sell.  Any tickets not sold will need to be turned in to the Grissom Choir Money Box along with any monies raised.  Please visit www.grissomchoir.com/fundraisers for more information!

All-State Auditions
The 2022 All-State Choral Festival Auditions are currently set for Wednesday, November 8th, which is only 5 weeks away!  More information, will be emailed out in the coming weeks.  However, there are several students who have yet to receive their All-State music due to lack of payment.  These fees have been posted on My Music Office, and music has been available for students to pick-up once payment is received (MMO or Money Box).
