This Week in Choir: Week 1

Good Evening Grissom Choir,

​Welcome Students and Parents, to another great year in Grissom Choir!  I am very excited to see what this new year has in store, both virtually and in person.  If you are returning, welcome back.  I hope that this year brings opportunity for you to learn and grow as a musician.  For those that are new, I welcome you into my classroom.  I like to look at Grissom Choir as being unique.  We not only teach and perform music, but we strive for an all-around music education that strengthens you as a musician.  This encompasses learning the theory behind what we sing, the history behind what we sing, as well as the technical aspects and enjoyments of WHY we sing. I hope that this year challenges you.  I hope that it instill a passion for music that you never had before.

Parental Information

Parents, please view the two videos that are posted on www.grissomchoir.com/elearning.  These are the first of many informative videos that will be posted in the coming weeks.  It is imperative that both you and your child watch these videos (not necessarily at the same time) in order to stay up-to-date with how Grissom Choir will present it’s E-Learning curriculum.  I will try and not bombard everyone with information this week.  We will start off simple, yet effective, and then progress into our curriculum.  Please make sure that you watch and read all things that I send to you!


First Day of School Video

Students, when it is time for you to log into class remotely, please visit the Assignments tab in your choir class on Schoology.  I will post a Google Meet access code that you then will need to click on in order to join the LIVE class session.  Once we have finished with the session, you need to visit www.grissomchoir.com/elearning and view the Grissom Choir First Day of School video, and message me on Remind stating that you have watched the video in order to receive credit!


Website Tutorial Video
