Good Afternoon Grissom Choir,


Congratulations to the Chamber Choir on an outstanding performance at this past week’s Alabama Music Educators Association Conference!  There has been nothing but praise regarding your performance.  You should each be very proud of what you have accomplished!


As a reminder, this week is virtual for all students.  PowerSchool attendance will be taken daily based upon student participation on the Zoom call, as well as submission of daily singing assignments.  Please visit Schoology at your assigned class time to gain access to the Zoom link and your assignment.

University of Montevallo Mens & Womens Choral Festivals
Due to COVID related issues, the Choral Festival Day at the University of Montevallo scheduled for this coming Friday, January 18th, has been postponed to a later date.  We are fortunate that Montevallo has chosen to postpone this festival.  Now that HCS is virtual, we would not have been allowed to travel on Friday anyways.  I have been in talks with Dr. Melinda Doyle at Montevallo concerning an updated event day.  The new date is not set in stone, but will be sometime in April.  As soon as I find out what the official date is, I will inform all students and parents/guardians.


Pizza & Pop Audition Information
Auditions for this year’s Pizza & Pop are in two weeks!  This year, auditions will be held on the afternoon of Thursday, February 11th in the Choir Room.  I highly encourage any and all Grissom Choir students to audition for this evening of dinner & music.  All Student Audition Information can be found on our website at www.grissomchoir.com/pizzapop, along with the Audition Form!


Pizza & Pop Ticket Information
All friends and family members of Grissom Choir students are invited to join us for Pizza & Pop, located in the Martha deFord Hays Auditorium on Thursday, February 25th at 6:00pm!  1 Ticket @ $5.00 each (sold at the door, cash & card accepted) includes a "showcase" style performance evening featuring our multi-talented Grissom Choir students, along with 2 slices of Marcos Pizza, a drink, plus dessert.  Attendees are required to RSVP in order to attend.  Please visit www.grissomchoir.com/pizzapop to reserve your dinner & entertainment today!
