Good Afternoon Grissom Choir,


Congratulations to our Chamber Choir on an oustastanidng representation and performance at the State Capitol this past Tuesday.  We are so proud of the hard work that each of you have done to continue the standard of excellence that Grissom Choir holds!

Spring Concert Performance
Our Spring Concert is THIS WEEK! This year, the concert will be on the evening of THIS Tuesday, May 2nd at 7:00pm. Student call time is at 5:30pm in full Concert Uniform (tuxes & dresses). Admission to the concert is $5 for the general public, and doors open at 6:45 for seating.  Please remember that it is a requirement for all Grissom Choir members to participate in our public concerts.


Spring Concert Dress Rehearsal
There will be a required final rehearsal THIS Monday, May 1st for all students directly after school. It is imperative that all students are present at this rehearsal in order to figure out how we will be getting on & off the stage, and to have a final run-through with our accompanist. Students that are not present at this rehearsal will not be allowed to perform at the Spring Concert.  Men’s & Women’s Choir students will be dismissed by 5:00pm, and Concert Choir & Chamber Choir students by 6:30pm.  Please remember that it is a requirement for all Grissom Choir members to participate in our final rehearsals.


End-Of-Year Awards Ceremony,
Please join us after the Spring Concert for our Awards Ceremony, where we will recognize all Grissom Choir achievements from throughout the year, as well as individual awards such as All-City, All-State, Solo & Ensemble, & Senior Scholarships


End-Of-Year Applications
As detailed in previous Weekly Updates, we have various applications for upcoming awards & assessments.  For those that are interested in applying for these opportunities, please visit www.grissomchoir.com/applications and fill out the appropriate form(s).  Please see the due dates for these applications below:​

Concert & Chamber Choir Auditions
At the end of this week, we will begin our Concert Choir Auditions (4 scales, level 3 sight-reading).  At the beginning of next week, we will begin our Chamber Choir Auditions (4 scales, level 4 sight-reading, prepared piece ((available on Wednesday!).  As these auditions serve as  part of each student’s Final Grade, every student will be assessed.
