Good Afternoon Grissom Choir,


Thank you to each student who auditioned this past Friday for a solo in our Fall Concert.  We had so many talented singers audition this year.  Because of this, I am having to delay announcing who was selected until later this week in order to best select the solos for these songs.  Please be on the lookout later this week for an announcement!

Tidal Wave Auto Spa Fundraiser
Our Pre-Sell order forms and monies are due this Thursday!  For those that are continuing to sell, you may visit our website at https://www.grissomchoir.com/fundraisers.html to view the information about this fundraiser, and access extra Pre-Sell forms and the Fundraiser Flyer.


Open House
Grissom High School will be hosting this year’s Open House this week on Thursday September 1st.  While all information concerning being a member of Grissom Choir was discussed at our Parent Meeting 2 weeks ago, I will be present on this night to answer any and all questions that you may have in person!


All-State Registration
Students, I have neglected to remind everyone that All-State registrations were due this past Friday.  I will give all students until this coming Wednesday, August 31st, to register online at www.grissomchoir.com/allstate.


Fall Concert Performance
Our Fall Concert is in one week!  The concert will be held on the evening of Thursday, September 8th at 7:00pm. Student call time is at 5:30pm in “Sunday Best” attire.  Admission to this concert alone is free to the general public, & doors open at 6:45 for seating.  Please remember that it is a requirement for all Grissom Choir members to participate in our public concerts.


Fall Concert Final Rehearsal
There will be a required final rehearsal on Wednesday, September 7th for all students directly after school. It is imperative that all students are present at this rehearsal in order to figure out how we will be getting on & off the stage, and to have a final run-through with our accompanist. Students that are not present at this rehearsal will not be allowed to perform at the Fall Concert.  All students will be dismissed by 5pm.  Please remember that it is a requirement for all Grissom Choir members to participate in our final rehearsals.


The University of Montevallo’s Choral Festival of Voices
This school year, the University of Montevallo will be hosting a 1 day Honor Choir on Friday, September 30th, titled the Choral Festival of Voices.  For those students in our Concert Choir at Grissom, we will be traveling down via bus on this day to participate in this great festival. The price of this field trip is $30, & students will need to bring money for lunch and dinner.  More information was emailed out this past Friday to our Concert Choir Families.  Please be sure to mark your calendar for this day!


Grissom Choir Costa Rica Concert Tour
Spots are filling up quick for those that are interested in traveling with us in June to Costa Rica!  Please visit www.grissomchoir.com/costarica to learn more about our Costa Rica Concert Tour, as well as to register to be on our Traveler Wait List.  For those currently on our Active Traveler list, an update email has been sent out this past Friday.
