Good Evening Grissom Choir,
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break with friends and family, and is ready for one more full week of rehearsals until our Winter Concert! Before our Weekly Updates, I wanted to give a few shout-outs to some of our Grissom Choir Members: We are very proud of every student that auditioned for the 2023 Alabama All-State Choral Festival. Learning collegiate level repertoire 100% on your own is a huge challenge to undertake, and you should be proud of all that you learned throughout the learning process. Congratulations to the following 9 Grissom Choir members who were selected to participate in this year’s All-State! Lilah Cantrell Troi Cheeks Nicholas Delgado Ethan Doyle James Graham Paige Heller Molly Malone Seth Smith Sophia Zajac We are also excited to announce that the Grissom High School Chamber Choir has been selected by the Alabama State Department of Education, the Alabama Music Educators Association, and the Alabama Institute for Education in the Arts to perform in the rotunda of the Alabama State Capital Building during the 2023 Legislative Session. We are honored and excited to have been selected for this collaborative project, and can’t wait to share in this experience with our students.
