Grissom Choir Financial Update Letter
Please see the attached PDF which details a letter from myself and our Treasurer, Amanda Francis, concerning a financial update for all Grissom Choir stakeholders.

Grissom Choir Sweatshirt
This year’s Sweatshirt Order Form is now LIVE ont the website at https://www.grissomchoir.com/merchandise.html.  This year’s sweatshirts will be only $25, and will be be ordered and in by our Honor Choir trips.  The deadline to order is next Wednesday, January 10th!

Pizza & Pop DATE CHANGE
Students, we have had to change our dates for Pizza & Pop Auditions, AND the evening of the event. Auditions for our Pizza & Pop Showcase are now coming up in 3 weeks, on the afternoon of Friday, January 26th from 4:00-6:30, with the actual event now being on Friday, February 2nd @ 6:00pm.  For those interested in auditioning, we will speak in class concerning the criteria and what is expected out of you.  I highly encourage any and all Grissom Choir students to audition for this evening of dinner & music.  All Student Audition Information can be found on our website at www.grissomchoir.com/pizzapop, along with the Audition Form!

Pizza & Pop Ticket RSVP
All friends and family members of Grissom Choir students are invited to join us for Pizza & Pop, located in the Martha deFord Hays Auditorium on Friday, February 2nd at 6:00pm!  1 Ticket @ $10.00 each (sold at the door, cash & card accepted) includes a "showcase" style performance evening featuring our multi-talented Grissom Choir students, along with 2 slices of Pizza, a drink, chips, & dessert.  All attendees are required to RSVP by Wednesday, January 31st in order to attend.  Please visit www.grissomchoir.com/pizzapop to reserve your dinner & entertainment today!

Solo & Ensemble
The deadline to register for this year’s Solo & Ensemble Festival is next Friday, January 12th!  If there is any students or groups of student’s that would like to participate in this year’s Solo & Ensemble Festival, please visit https://www.grissomchoir.com/soloensemble.html to find out more!  You must speak with Mr. Ratcliff by the end of this week so that we can discuss eligibility, repertoire selections & registration details.

Grissom Choir Honor Choir Participation
This spring, all 4 Grissom Choirs will be traveling down to the Birmigham Metro Area for 2 different Honor Choirs:

Men’s & Women’s Choirs: Monday, January 29th: University of Montevallo’s ChoralFest!
Concert & Chamber Choirs Monday, February 5th: University of Alabama in Birmingham’s Honor Choir:

These honor choirs are designed to affirm the participation of young singers in the vocal arts. The choirs are comprised of high school students throughout the State of Alabama. Students work closely with the festival clinician in intense rehearsals focusing on musicianship skills, voice building, and ensemble performance. The choir also rehearses and performs side-by-side the collegiate choirs. Students will experience concerts and masterclasses, and will perform with seasoned professionals on traditional and exciting new choral repertoire.  A more detailed letter per honor choir will be emailed out across the next 2 weeks with all information.  Please mark your calendars for these days!!
