Congratulations to our students that participated in the AVA Solo & Ensemble Festival this past Tuesday! All participating students worked diligently to memorize and prepare 2 songs entirely on their own over the past month, which resulted in all performers scoring Superior and Excellent Superior Ratings Logan Bishop James Graham Paige Heller NatalieTate & Sophia Zajac Excellent Ratings Angel Davis, Bekah Pittenger, Makayla Sewell, & Savannah Skipworth Another congratulations to the Concert & Chamber Choir on a FANTASTIC workshop and collaborative performance with Cantus this past Saturday night. All of our students acted and performed with such high caliber attitudes and singing. BRAVI to all students involved! The festival cost this year for all students is $325. These costs are based on current hotel room pricing, (breakfast included), as well as updated All-State Registration Fees. All money is due by THIS Tuesday, March 7th. We will have a MANDATORY All-State meeting THIS Tuesday, March 7th at 6:30pm at the Starbucks on South Parkway to discuss the trip, and sign Permission-to-Travel Forms. This will be required for all students participating, as well as parents, even if they are not traveling to Birmingham. A packet was sent home with students with the above information, as well as all things All-State related. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to reach out! University of Montevallo’s ChoralFest! This school year, the University of Montevallo will be hosting a 1 day SSAA & TTBB Honor Choir on Tuesday, March 21st. For those students in our own Women’s and Men’s choir at Grissom, we will be traveling down via bus on this day to participate in this great festival. The price of this field trip is $30 (students will also need to bring money for lunch and dinner). More information was handed out to students this week for those in our Women’s & Men’s Choir, and will also be emailed our in a separate email. Please be sure to mark your calendar for this day! Costa Rica Concert Tour 6th Payment DUE Travelers, please turn in your 6th payment for our Costa Rica Concert Tour at this time. For this payment, please pay this installment DIRECTLY to Perform International via their online portal that you registered through, or via check in the mail. This payment should complete the payments that are due to Perform International. Due to rooming situations, some of your online accounts may be higher or lower than the original proposed price of this trip. After this payment, your online account balance should reflect that you have paid $2,930. (Even if your online account says that you own more due to rooming differences). In 2 months, you will make the final, 7th payment to Grissom Choir of $270, of which we will then pay any remaining amount left on each individuals account. Please see below for the payment schedule.
