Our Spring Concert is just over 1 week away! Please be sure to read the announcements below for all things related to the end of our school year!

Women’s Choir:
Memorize Silver Rains, Lakeside Lullaby, Set Me As a Seal,  & The Storm is Passing Over
Begin reincorporating Joshua & Laudamus Te

Men’s Choir:
Memorize Pirate Story, All That Her Heart Desires, Set Me As a Seal,  & The Storm is Passing Over
Begin reincorporating Ubi Caritas & The Storm

Concert Choir:
Memorize There Will Come Soft Rains, Elijah Rock, Tshotsholoza, & The Storm is Passing Over
Begin reincorporating Cantate Domino & There River Sleeps

Chamber Choir:
Memorize Consecrate the Place & Day, Dies Irae, Tshotsholoza & The Storm is Passing Over
Finish learning I Will Lift Mine Eyes


Spring Concert Final Rehearsal
There will be a required final rehearsal on Monday, April 22nd for all students directly after school. It is imperative that all students are present at this rehearsal in order to figure out how we will be getting on & off the stage, and to have a final run-through with our accompanist. Students that are not present at this rehearsal will not be allowed to perform at the Spring Concert.  Men’s & Women’s Choir students will be dismissed by 5:00pm, Concert Choir students by 6:00pm, & Chamber Choir by 7:00pm.  Please remember that it is a requirement for all Grissom Choir members to participate in our final rehearsals.

Spring Concert Performance
Our Spring Concert is in 1 1/2 weeks! This year, the concert will be on the evening of Tuesday, April 23rd at 7:00pm. Student call time is at 5:30pm in full Concert Uniform (tuxes & dresses). Admission to the concert is $5 for the general public, and doors open at 6:45 for seating.  Please remember that it is a requirement for all Grissom Choir members to participate in our public concerts.

End-Of-Year Applications
As detailed in previous Weekly Updates, we have various applications for upcoming awards & assessments.  For those that are interested in applying for these opportunities, please visit www.grissomchoir.com/applications and fill out the appropriate form(s).  Please remember, all items re due by Wednesday, April 24th!

Choral Accords
This year, Grissom Choir will host its first “Choral Accords”, an End-Of-Year Banquet where we will recognize all Grissom Choir achievements from throughout the year, as well as individual awards such as Paper Plate Awards, All-City, All-State, Solo & Ensemble, & Senior Scholarships.  This event will be held in the Grissom Cafeteria on Saturday, May 11th at 7:00pm.  Grissom Choir students are encouraged to get together with their friends beforehand for dinner, of which they will then come to the Choral Accords and enjoy a Dessert Bar while celebrating our year.  All current Grissom Choir students will have free entry into the event via the Basic Support Fee.  Admission for friends & family will be $10 at the door, of which an RSVP form will be sent out in the coming weeks!
