Good Afternoon Grissom Choir, Thank you to all students who were in attendance for our Battle Hymn Recording last Wednesday! This Week in Choir… Women’s Choir: Music Theory Review Review final sections of Winter Wind & Veni, Veni Emmanuel Continue musicality & phrasing of Stars I Shall Find Review Carol of the Bells Men’s Choir: Continue Musicality & phrasing of Ding-a Ding-a Ding & Silent Snowfall Review Carol of the Bells Concert Choir: Review last section of Fum, Fum, Fum Finish learning The Snow, & Mary Sat A-Rockin’ Review In The Stillness of Winter and Carol of the Bells Chamber Choir: Prepare O SingJoyfully, At The Round Earths Imagined Corners, & I Don’ Feel No Ways Tired for Wednesday’s performance Continue musicality of AMEA repertoire Continue learning words on Furwahr Continue learning Winter Concert ensemble songs JSU Chamber Singers Performance We are very excited to host the Jacksonville State University Chamber Singers this week, Wednesday November 17th, during 2nd block. This group is on their annual recruitment tour throughout Alabama, and will be making a stop at Grissom to perform for us, and speak a little about the JSU Music Department. Alongside their performance, our Chamber Choir will perform a few songs for them and those Grissom students that would like to attend. I will send an email out to all teachers informing them of this opportunity, and to let them know that if a Grissom Choir student is interested in coming to this performance, they may come to the auditorium during this block. All student must be in good standing in that specific class, and must ask permission in order to attend.
