Good Evening Grissom Choir,

Thank you all for being kind and respectful to our substitute and fellow teachers last Thursday and Friday while I was out!  I learned many new things at the Alabama Music Educators Association Conference and I am ready to put them to good use!

Tiger Time Pictures

Next Monday, January 27th, we will have Yearbook photos during Tiger Time.  Women’s & Men’s Choir will be during 1st Lunch, and Concert & Chamber Choir will be during 2nd Lunch.  You will be required to bring your tuxes and dresses to school that day, and change in/out of them before/after your photo.  For those that may have a conflict with a club, I will send out an email to all teachers dismissing you during each lunch.  This is a requirement for ALL students.


Yankee Candle Fundraising

Our Yankee Candle Fundraiser began last Monday and ends THIS Friday, January 24th! Packets have been given out in class to those that wish to participate, and students also have the opportunity to sell digitally using the instructions provided in the packet.  Funds raised can be applied to anything Grissom Choir/Charms related, including trips!  Packets received after this Friday will be VOID, and money will be returned.


Nashville Heritage Festival Trip

For those students traveling to Nashville this coming April, we will be meeting this Thursday during 2nd lunch to rehearse Keep Your Lamps & Cantate Domino. Remember, these rehearsals are MANDATORY. If you do not come to these rehearsals, you will not be traveling!


UAB Honor Choir

Chamber Choir students, the UAB Honor Choir Festival is 2 weeks from today, February 3rd.  Please turn in $20 to the money box by the end of January.  An itinerary will be given out in class next week.


All-State Choral Festival Participants

Students that were selected for the 2020 All-State Festival, please check your email for information that I sent out earlier tonight concerning this event!


Trip Updates:

European Performance Tour - 5th installment of $177 due NEXT Friday, January 31st.
Nashville Heritage Festival Trip - 4th installment of $110 due is due in NEXT Friday, January 31st.
