All-State Choral Festival
For those that were selected to participate in this year’s All-State Choral Festival, I will be sending out an email this week will all information concerning the festival, which has been moved to one day (April 26th), here in Huntsville at the VBC.


Solo & Ensemble Festival
For those that are interested in participating in Solo & Ensemble this year, please take a look at our website at www.grissomchoir.com/soloensemble and read the description of this great event!  If you wish to register, please click on the 2021 link on that page, and read the information for virtual participation this year.  Then click Register Now, and fill out the form that appears!


Pizza & Pop Auditions
For those that are interested in auditioning for Pizza & Pop this year, please take a look at our website at www.grissomchoir.com/pizzapop and read the description of this fun event!  If you wish to audition, please click Register Now, and fill out the form that appears!  I will begin talking about this in class beginning this week, and I encourage everyone to audition!


Uniform Sizing
Students, we will begin sizing you for your Concert Uniforms across the next 2 weeks.  It is important that you are in class during your class time so that you do not miss you fitting.  HVA students, we will schedule a time for you to come to the choir room to get sized as soon as details are solidified.


GCPA Board
Underclassmen Parents/Guardians, while I know we just began the 2nd semester, it is time for us to begin thinking of our Grissom Choral Parents Association Executive Board members for next year!  Here is a list of positions that will be opening up for the 2021-2022 school year:


President: Must be a parent of a senior for the 2021-2022 school year.
Vice-President/President-Elect: Must be a parent of a junior for the 2021-2022 school year.  The Vice-President will move up to President their child’s senior year.
Secretary
Uniform Committee: 2 person committee.  The male member has already filled.  We will need a female parent/guardian to train this year under Jennifer Jonas, and fill her spot next year.
Events Committee: 2 person committee


If you are interested in one of these positions, please reach out at your earliest convenience.  The GCPA Board will then send you a list of responsibilities for the positions that need to be filled.  Thank you in advance for your help!
