Good Evening Grissom Choir,


I will be out of school tomorrow, Monday April 26 for the 2021 All-State Choral Festival.  Assignments for Chamber & Men’s Choir are on Schoology for this day!

Review all Scale & Sequence
Finalize The Storm is Passing Over
Continue memorization & phrasing of all pieces
Begin working with accompanist on all pieces


Men’s Choir:
Review all Scales & Sequence
Music Theory Test
Finalize The Storm is Passing Over
Continue reviewing Gloria & musicality of all pieces
Begin working with accompanist on all pieces


Concert Choir:
Review all Scales
Finalize The Storm is Passing Over
Finalize phrasing, & memorization of all pieces
Begin working with accompanist on all pieces


Chamber Choir:
Review all Scales
Finish reviewing Sicut Cervus
Finalize phrasing, & memorization of all pieces




Spring Concert Performance
Our Spring Concert is next week!  This year, the concert will be on the evening of Friday, May 7th at 7:00pm.  Student call time is at 5:30pm in full uniform (tuxes & dresses).  Tickets are $5 for the public, and doors open at 6:45 for seating.  While there are no assigned seats at this concert, please use your own discretion and select your seats with social distancing guidelines in mind.  There are certain rows that are marked off, and rows that are open.  Groups or family members may sit together, however, please be courteous of others and sit distant from groups & families that are also here to enjoy the concert.  After the concert, we will host our annual awards ceremony, recognizing all individual and group awards from throughout the year!


Spring Concert Dress Rehearsal
Just like our Winter Concert, all students, parents, & guardians need to be aware that there will be a required “dress” rehearsal on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 5th for all students directly after school.  It is imperative that all students are present at this rehearsal in order to figure out how we will be getting on & off the stage, where to sit in the audience, and to have a final run-through with our accompanist.  Students that are not present at this rehearsals will not be allowed to perform at our Spring Concert.  Men’s & Women’s Choir will be released by 5:30, Concert Choir by 7:00, and Chamber Choir by 8:00.
