Good Evening Grissom Choir,


It’s Concert Week!  I am so excited to see everyone on both Tuesday and Thursday for our last rehearsal & performance of the school year.

Finish learning & reviewing music for Spring Concert




Chamber Choir Auditions
Chamber Choir auditions took place virtually these past two weeks.  There were two parts to the audition: Part 1 & Part 2, both of which all details and instructions are posted on Schoology on the Materials tab in the Chamber Choir Auditions folder.  Should any of the 40 students auditioning for Chamber Choir need an extension to submit both parts of the Chamber Choir audition, please message me on Remind or on Schoology


Atlanta Choir Tour Update
Travelers, our trip is NEXT weekend! All students and chaperones going will receive their trip t-shirt at this Tuesday’s Final Rehearsal.  For those going, please see the email that was sent out last Sunday which includes an attached PDF detailing all information concerning our upcoming Atlanta Trip May 6-8th.  Included in the information in the packet are several forms that need to either be signed digitally & sent via email, or printed & returned signed back to myself, as well as the nurses, by our Final Concert Rehearsal on Tuesday, May 3rd:


School Medication Prescriber Form: Nurses - if student takes any medication
Student Code of Conduct: Mr. Ratcliff
Out of County/Overnight Medical Form: Mr. Ratcliff
Permission to Travel: Mr. Ratcliff


Spring Concert Performance
Our joint Spring Concert with Mountain Gap Middle School is THIS week!  The concert will be held on the evening of Thursday, May 5th at 6:30pm (PLEASE NOTE THE UPDATED TIME). Student call time is at 5:30pm in their Concert Uniform attire.  Admission to this concert is $5 to the general public, & doors open at 6:15 for seating.  After the concert, all students, friends, and family members are invited to join us for our End-Of-Year Awards Ceremony & Celebration.  Please remember that it is a requirement for all Grissom Choir members to participate in our public concerts.


Spring Concert Final Rehearsal
There will be a required final rehearsal THIS week on Tuesday, May 3rd for all students directly after school. It is imperative that all students are present at this rehearsal in order to figure out how we will be getting on & off the stage, and to have a final run-through with our accompanist. Students that are not present at this rehearsal will not be allowed to perform at the Spring Concert.  All choirs will be done by 5:30pm that evening.  Please remember that it is a requirement for all Grissom Choir members to participate in our final rehearsals.
