New Member Uniforms
For those that are new to Grissom Choir, you will be receiving your choral uniform this week.  Please ensure that your uniform has been paid for so that you can pick up your dress or tuxedo.  Those that have not paid will not receive their uniform, and will not be allowed to perform, resulting in a 0/400 in iNow.


Fees
Please ensure that all fees (Basic Support, All-State, Uniforms, etc..) for this year have been paid in CHARMS.  Seniors who have not paid will not be allowed to walk, and underclassmen who have not paid will not be able to register and receive their schedules for next year.  Please look at previous emails from our treasurer concerning any over-due payments Grissom Choir related, or check your CHARMS account online!


End-Of-Year Assessments
Our End-of-Year Assessments end this week!  Students, these assessments act as as part of your Final Exam, as well as your auditions for next year, be it Concert Choir or Chamber Choir.  Concert Choir auditions consist of students singing their 4 scales/sequences, as well as a Level 3 Sight-Reading exercise.  Chamber Choir auditions add a prepared piece on top of the scales/sequences and a Level 4 Sight-Reading exercise.  Those auditioning for Chamber Choir, I have a sign-up sheet on my to designate which day you will audition & sing your prepared piece.


Spring Concert Performance
Our Spring Concert is THIS week!  The concert will be held on the evening of Friday, May 21st at 7:00pm.  Student call time is at 5:30pm in full uniform (tuxes & dresses).  Tickets are $5 for the public, and doors open at 6:45 for seating.  While there are no assigned seats at this concert, please use your own discretion and select your seats with social distancing guidelines in mind.  Groups or family members may sit together, however, please be courteous of others and sit distant from groups & families that are also here to enjoy the concert.  After the concert, we will host our annual awards ceremony, recognizing all individual and group awards from throughout the year!  For HVA students that have previously reached out concerning an alternate assignment, please check Schoology this week for this assignment.


Spring Concert Final Rehearsal
There will be a required final rehearsal THIS Wednesday, May 19th for all students directly after school.  It is imperative that all students are present at this rehearsal in order to figure out how we will be getting on & off the stage, where to sit in the audience, and to have a final run-through with our accompanist.  Students that are not present at this rehearsal will not be allowed to perform at our Spring Concert.  Men’s & Women’s Choir will be released by 5:30, Concert Choir by 7:00, and Chamber Choir by 8:00.
