Good Afternoon Grissom Choir, A fantastic job to every single student who participated in our Fall Concert this past week. I am always amazed at the talent that is on that stage, and I am very thankful to work with such committed and hard-working students! This Week in Choir… Women’s Choir: Review Major Sequence Move up to Level 2 Sight-Reading Begin learning Battle Hymn of the Republic Begin learning Winter Concert repertoire Men’s Choir: Music Theory Review Review Major Sequence Move up to Level 2 Sight-Reading Begin learning Battle Hymn of the Republic Begin learning Winter Concert repertoire Concert Choir: Music Theory Review Begin reviewing Battle Hymn of the Republic Begin learning Winter Concert repertoire Chamber Choir: Continue learning AMEA repertoire Begin reviewing Battle Hymn of the Republic Begin learning Winter Concert repertoire Fall Concert Alternate Assignment For those students who were unable to participate in our Fall Concert this past Thursday due to an excused absence, an alternate assignment has been posted on Schoology for your to submit this week. Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be awarded the full points in PowerSchool. All-City Auditions Auditions for this year’s All-City Choral Festival are in 2 weeks! All auditioning students will need to report to the choir room directly after school on Monday, September 27th. We will run through audition procedures, and hopefully end auditions by 6pm that evening. Students need to be using the provided sheet music and practice tracks to help prepare for this audition. Practice Tracks can be found on Schoology, as well as at www.grissomchoir.com. All-State Music All-State music has arrived! For those that have registered, please ensure that you have paid your $25 registration fee. Once this is done, you may pick up your music!
